International Cuisines
Kenya has long been a favourite with Italian expatriates
and the evidence can be seen all around with the variety
of authentic and top class Italian restaurants around
the city. Tamambo Brassarie at the Mall in Westlands,
the Tamarind Restaurant at the National Bank Building
in the city (both of the same family as Carnivore) serve
a fusion of contemporary African, and European brasserie
cuisine. At The Pampa Grill at the Panari Centre on Mombasa
Road, guests enjoy the Brazilians’ Churrascaria
style of dining very much akin to Kenyans goat eating
sessions. The Safari Park Hotel on Thika Road is home
to five restaurants serving food from different parts
of the world. Asian influence is very strong in Kenya
and you won’t have to go very far to encounter the
spicy aromas from the many Indian restaurants around the
city. |
