Mombasa is the oldest and second biggest city in Kenya. It is also the centre of the Kenyan coast offering beautiful beaches and world class resorts that offer nothing but the best to the discerning traveller.

Situated on the south-Eastern part of Kenya you can visit the North coast and South Coast beaches, Malindi and Watamu, lamu, Tana River Delta,
or even Taveta.

Originally called Manbasa by Arab traders of the 11th century, the island was a centre of trade primarily exporting ivory and slaves. Mombasa is strongly influenced by Arabic culture and this is quite evident in the food, the dress and the architecture. Today this coastal island is a melting pot of different cultures, races and religions. Mombasa, the oldest and second largest city in Kenya Karibu.

North Coast and South Coast
The North and south Coast are both linked to the Mombasa Island through the Nyali Bridge and the likoni Ferry respectively. At the North Coast you will find the lively Giriama people of the Mijikenda tribe while at the south Coast you will enjoy the cleanest white beaches where you can sunbathe and swim at peace under the clear African sky.

Malindi is thought to have been founded in the 10th century by Arab traders, evolving into an important city-state and a major port. The Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama landed there in 1498 and erected a monument; the Vasco da Gama Pillar that still stands. Malindi is a small town still possessing some of its original architecture. Despite the swahili culture, Malindi is largely influenced by the Italian community who have settled there.

Its beaches are clean and sparsely populated, a perfect getaway for those who yearn for a romantic hide away. you may even come across some international celebrities during your stay there.
